Our key product is mined in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. While quartz is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth’s crust, quartz from Spruce Pine is uniquely pure. Thanks to a series of geological process that occurred 350 million years ago, allowing pegmatites to form almost without impurities. This means the quartz mined from the region is already pure coming out of the ground, allowing us to refine it to 99.999% SiO2 levels.
